TORONTO – May 1, 2018 – FAWN Chamber Creative is seeking a non-union baritone for a workshop of three short opera-ballets by Canadian composers Joseph Glaser, David Storen and Kit Soden. The workshop from June 4 to 8 will culminate with an informal presentation. We are looking for a high-baritone voice that is flexible to switch in and out of falsetto, has experience and interest in various extended techniques, including the control of various timbres and speed of vibrato; the ability to sing in and out of specific pitches (flat/sharp); and experience with sprechtimme/semi-pitched notation. The successful candidate will have demonstrated a desire and willingness to collaborate with composers in a workshop format.

We encourage artists of diverse backgrounds, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and inter-disciplinary artists to apply. Members of the FAWN Team include Amanda Smith, Adam Scime, Adanya Dunn, Jonathan MacArthur, Darren Creech, Erica Sun and Aaron Durand. The successful candidate will have access to the members of the FAWN Team as their new music resource.
